Groby / storage & dining

Make room for
everyday life.

Begin with what you need to store and where you need to sit. Then compare the furniture that gives each task its own place.

Storage plan

Sort the contents first. Compare usable drawer dimensions, the opening arrangement and the space in front of the chest.

Dining plan

Measure the tabletop footprint and the clearance for chairs. For an extendable design, check both lengths and leaf storage.

01 / Contents before capacity

Four drawers do not tell the whole story.

Count the items you intend to store, then compare them with the usable drawer measurements. Wide, shallow drawers work differently from a stack of narrower compartments. The outer width of a chest is not its internal drawer width. Check the runners and opening clearance separately from the closed footprint.

Build a contents list.

  1. Group the items by their everyday use.
  2. Measure a representative folded or stored item.
  3. Compare internal width, depth and height.
  4. Keep frequently used items accessible.

Do not infer a load rating from the number of drawers or the material name. Ask about the specific product if a dimension is not stated.

The drawer arrangement register

Compare each chest's overall dimensions with its internal compartments. Read assembly and wall-restraint requirements as part of the selection, not as an afterthought.

02 / Room to pull out a chair

Plan the occupied room,
not the empty table.

Mark the tabletop footprint and allow for the chair position in use. Keep the route past the table visible. An extendable piece changes the plan: check the closed and open lengths, where the leaf is stored and how the mechanism operates. A pedestal and corner legs leave different space beneath the top, so seating cannot be judged from outer length alone.

Fixed and extendable dining records

Use the exact top shape, leg arrangement and stated extension measurements. A seating description helps compare the design but cannot replace checking your own chair dimensions.

Storage has an installation requirement.

A chest must be assembled and restrained where its product record requires it. The correct wall fixing depends on the wall type; do not assume one fitting suits every wall. Plan access to the fixing position and follow the installation instructions. A closed drawer or a heavier lower compartment is not a substitute for the stated restraint requirement.

Read materials by component.

A veneered panel, a solid leg and a steel runner perform different tasks. Use the complete material record for the selected product rather than assuming an entirely solid construction from the finish. Keep care instructions attached to the exact surface and avoid standing water where a damp-and-dry cleaning method is specified.

Set aside assembly space.

Review whether assembly is required before selecting. Lay out the parts, read the instructions and make room to handle panels without scraping finished surfaces. For an extendable table, understand the leaf arrangement before moving the mechanism. Product illustrations do not establish an assembly or installation service.

Turn the plan into a clear request.

  1. Select the exact product option and quantity.
  2. Review the product subtotal and your contact and delivery details.
  3. Keep the saved request reference for follow-up.

Record the SKU alongside your room measurements. Delivery, payment and returns information belongs to the dedicated policy pages. Do not include payment credentials in an order note.

Check before you choose

Can outer chest size tell me what fits?

No. Compare the internal drawer measurements where they are stated. The space occupied by the frame and runners is not usable storage.

Does an extension mean more seats automatically fit?

Check the extended tabletop dimensions, leg positions and your own chair widths. You also need room to move the chairs and circulate around the occupied table.

A product record is the start of the conversation.

Include the product name or SKU, the contents or chairs you are planning around, and the exact measurement you need to confirm. That keeps a storage or seating question attached to the right configuration.
